I signed up to an online dating website last weekend. To say it's an eye opener would be a massive understatement.
For a shy, easily intimidated young man like myself, looking at all these amazing looking ladies initially put me off. But I have stuck with it (paid for a months membership), and have managed to talk to just one lovely lady so far.
But there have been some interesting moments so far;
From what I have been told, a great way to start a conversation is by sending a smile. Oddly enough, the first smile I received was from a 20 year old guy from Ashburton. It seemed odd, so I checked him out...
as it turned out, he was straight. Why did he send me a smile? I'm guessing he worked out that I wasn't a threat to his lady searching, and sent a smile as a display of bromance.
I've had a lot of 30-40 something females check me out too, which has been totally unexpected.
I can't help but wonder that something is up with the good looking people though. Seriously, there has to be something up, especially if you appear as beautiful as you are, yet still remain single. Hmmmm
I will let you know how I get on..
