Are these cool or what?

VCF broke the news to me several months ago. Hoodies were out. A sad day indeed, 'cos I love a nice zip front hoodie. Also no longer cool (allegedly), skate shoes, a worthy exception being an old school pair of Vans. As VCF resides on the Gold Coast of Australia; a.k.a the epicenter of "cool" (and two years ahead of the rest of the world by all accounts), I wasn't going to argue. Apparently if you are seen in public wearing a hoodie, you are immediately identifying yourself as a clueless Kiwi. That point makes total sense if you ever watched an episode of TV3's The GC.

Fortunately, Skinny Jeans are still listed as hot, which was fine, as I also love a nice pair of "ass huggers", and spend most of my days in them. Time may be running out however, 'cos Chinos are now making their presence felt.

As a result, I've totally rejuvenated my wardrobe in the months proceeding. Hoodies have been replaced with Flannelette shirts, and other funky garments with hoods attached. Canvas shoes have also come into my closet in a big way, although my beloved skate shoes still take pride of place, and come out for practical duties from time to time.

I guess it comes down to this; "Every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man..."
